## Nusa Penida at its quiet hours

Most visitors see Nusa Penida in a single day, arriving with everyone else and leaving on the four o'clock boat. We plan private days, walks and island stays around the hours they miss: Kelingking at first light, Broken Beach as the day tours leave, the mantas before the boats from Bali arrive.

## Why the time of day matters

Nusa Penida's cliffs face the open ocean, and their light changes quickly. Kelingking is softest just after sunrise. Diamond Beach faces east and catches the sun as it clears the Lombok Strait. Broken Beach glows in the last hour of the day.

The crowds follow the boat timetable, not the light. A private speedboat, or a night on the island, lets you have both.

## Private means your party only

Your guide, car and driver are yours for the day, and on the speedboat options so is the boat. We never add other guests, and the plan moves with you: longer at a viewpoint you love, a swim when the sea is flat, lunch when you are hungry.

We are just as plain about limits. We keep out of the water at Kelingking and whenever the swell is running at Angel's Billabong. We turn back on wet paths. When the sea closes Manta Point, we go somewhere safer and tell you why.

## Bali, before and after

Most guests combine the islands with Bali. Ubud's rice terraces and water temples, the Sidemen valley under Mount Agung, and Uluwatu's cliff-top temple at sunset all fit around a few days on Nusa Penida. Our multi-day trips handle the stays, boats and drivers from airport to airport.
