Points worth stating plainly, because they are the questions travellers ask most: Nusa Penida has no airport and no bridge, and the private speedboat from Sanur on Bali takes about 40 minutes; mantas are seen through most of the year, but they are wild and no sighting can be guaranteed; April to October is the dry season, with calmer seas; the path down to Kelingking Beach is steep throughout; our walk there is guided and starts at first light, before the heat and the day-trip boats; and nothing is charged until we confirm, after which days and walks are fully refundable up to 7 days before and journeys up to 30 days before, with a new date or a full refund whenever weather closes the crossing.
