Two guided dives at Nusa Penida's best-known sites, with a private dive guide for your party. The dives are run by a licensed dive centre, which we name in your confirmation; we plan the day around it and handle everything on land.
Manta Point is a shallow site under the south-west cliffs, around 5 to 15 metres, where reef mantas come to be cleaned. You settle low on the rocks, stay back and let them pass overhead. There is often surge.
Crystal Bay is a sloping reef off a white-sand bay, with coral and reef fish in the shallows. From about July to October, oceanic sunfish, the mola, rise from deep water to be cleaned here. They are usually found deeper than 20 metres, beyond the Open Water limit, so only divers with the certification and recent experience for that depth are taken to look. They are never guaranteed.
The currents around Nusa Penida are strong and change quickly, including down-currents. The dive centre chooses the order and the sites on the day, and may swap Crystal Bay for Gamat Bay or Toyapakeh.
