Three islands, two bases. Nusa Lembongan is the gentler of the two, with beach clubs, mangroves and the footbridge to Ceningan. Nusa Penida has the cliffs. You cross between them on your own boat, with a stop at Manta Point on the way.
The first two days are on Lembongan: the mangroves by punt, the seaweed coast, the Yellow Bridge and Devil's Tear, with time on the beach. On the third day a private boat takes you to the mantas and on to Nusa Penida, where you finish with Broken Beach at golden hour. Kelingking at first light, a day with the island's temples and weavers, and Diamond Beach at sunrise complete the trip.
Nusa Penida has only a handful of truly high-end places to stay, and they fill early. If none suits your dates, we will tell you before you pay and suggest a base on Nusa Lembongan, which has more choice and is 15 minutes away by boat.
